RELEVANCE OF LASER THERAPEUTIC TREATMENT IN HORSE BREEDING

Along with the characteristics of the Ahalteke breed, which is a national treasure, it is of great importance to study the intricacies of their maintenance, nutrition, methods of protecting and strengthening their health, and preventing and treating diseases. In this context, the horse breeding industry pays great attention to these issues. To carry out these works, the scientific and clinical department of the Scientific and Production Center for Horse Breeding of the State Association "Türkmen atlary" is equipped with modern equipment for surgical, therapeutic and physiotherapeutic treatment of horses. The "ASA Lazer" device, designed for treating horses with laser therapy, occupies a special place among the equipment available here.

As is known, the 20th century was marked by the advent of laser technologies into our lives. In 1964, Russian scientists N.G. Basov and A.M. Prokhorov, and in 2000 Z.I. Alferov were awarded the Nobel Prize for scientific research in the field of laser physics.

LED therapy is a method of physical therapy using a special laser device to treat various diseases in horses. This method is also known as "low-frequency laser therapy". This method is also known as “low-frequency laser therapy.” The main component of this method is the use of laser light of a certain wavelength (usually red or infrared spectrum). This light is focused on the damaged or injured tissues of horses.

The principle of laser therapy is based on the effect of photons (light particles) on the cells and tissues of the horse's body (N.F. Gamaleya, 1972). When laser radiation is directed at injured areas of the horse's body, the metabolic process in the cells accelerates, which helps increase the activity of cellular mitochondria (energy organelles). Laser radiation increases enzymatic and catalase activity, the permeability of cytoplasmic membranes, which helps to accelerate metabolic and transport processes in tissues.

Increased oxygen exchange reduces hypoxia that occurs during inflammation, affects the overall expansion of blood capillaries and vessels and increases blood circulation in damaged areas. This promotes blood flow and, along with it, the flow of nutrients that help increase metabolism in damaged tissues, which has a positive effect on tissue regeneration, that is, the recovery of the body.

Laser therapy is a safe and non-invasive treatment method. As a rule, this method has no side effects. This therapy is mainly used in the treatment of various horse diseases, such as inflammation, muscle injuries, ligaments, joints, various wounds, scars and other diseases.

As mentioned above, this is a non-invasive method that does not require the use of needles, injections or surgery, which is a valuable advantage of laser therapy. When using laser treatment, horses feel calm. Another important advantage of laser therapy is that it promotes rapid healing of wounds, reduces swelling, prevents scarring in various injuries, and promotes increased muscle performance, influencing the increase in their strength and flexibility.

Today, veterinarians of the Scientific and Production Center Breeding, together with specialists from the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annaev, are conducting scientific research on the topic of "The Effect of Low-Frequency Laser Radiation on the Horse's Body." During the research, laser therapy was used to treat injuries and trauma in horses, including arthritis, tendonitis, synovitis, bursitis, and other diseases.

In general, when using laser therapy, unlike traditional drug treatments, the process of recovery of the horse's body occurs quickly and in a short period of time. Therefore, in veterinary medicine, this type of therapy is very important not only for the treatment or prevention of diseases, but also for the physiological recovery of the horse's body after training and competitions.
