The presentation of the graceful Ahalteke horse in magnificent jewelry at the square in front of the State Tribune, literally shining in the rays of the sun, added special solemnity to the main holiday of the country – the 32nd anniversary of the independence of the Homeland. The elite Ahalteke horse Arkala, born in 2020, is a descendant of eminent parents – Melegush, born in 2007, dun color, and Elvan, born in 2015, bay color. The pedigree of the horse goes back to the line of Garlavach, who at one time became famous for his agility and beauty.
It should be recalled that this wonderful representative of the elite stock of the legendary Ahalteke breed was presented as a gift to the President of the country on behalf of the members of the Government on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan as a sign of sincere gratitude for the grandiose transformations of the epoch of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, the concern for happiness and wellbeing of the Turkmen people, further prosperity of the Motherland.
I would like to briefly tell about the origin, pedigree and body parameters of this magnificent horse.
In accordance with the grading carried out by a group of specialist horse breeders, in particular, based on the results of an individual and comprehensive assessment of the origin (pedigree) of breeding horses, measurements of body articles and indexes of physique and performance activity, as well as their breeding qualities and values, the height at the withers of the horse is 1 meter 60 centimeters, oblique length of the body – 1 meter 61 centimeters, chest girth – 1 meter 72 centimeters, metacarpal girth – 19 centimeters. These indicators confirm that Arkaly, in terms of body parameters and exterior, is a pedigree Ahalteke horse.
As noted above, Arkala’s father is Melegush, dun colour, born in 2007, who, in turn, is a descendant of the horse Melehan, dun colour, born in 2000, and Talvas, born in 2002. Elvan’s parents are the bay horse Gadymyet, born in 1999, and Epelek, born in 2007, bay colour. In honour of the holiday, a spectacular procession of Turkmen horsemen with State flags took place on the square in front of the State Tribune, symbolizing the confident stride of our country along the path of sacred independence.
During the performance of a literary and musical composition, the image of Aba Annayev, a talented seis, who, being an expert in his field, created famous pedigree lines of a unique breed, “appeared” on the festive square. As you know, the International Academy of Horse Breeding, which opened on September 1, 2023, is the world’s first higher educational institution focused on training highly qualified specialists for horse breeding and equestrian sports, and bears the name of the famous horse breeder, famous seyis Aba Annayev.
The swift-footed Ahalteke horses, like the wind, who entered the square led by the legendary Akhan, aroused genuine admiration. Traditionally, a beautiful equestrian ceremony prepared by the Turkmen Atlary State Association and the renowned Galkynysh group of national equestrian games, well known not only in the country but also abroad, became a wonderful dedication to the main holiday of the country. Dashing horsemen, unsurpassed riders, performed a demonstration program. The crowning number was the acrobatic pyramid built by the riders on the back of the horse, which was crowned with the fluttering Banner of Turkmenistan. This became a worthy gift for the main holiday – the anniversary of the independence of the sovereign state.
